Why trademark classes matter
Goods and services are grouped using the Nice Classification. An application fee depends partly on the number of classes.
Classes are organization, not the whole analysis
Related goods or services can sometimes appear across different classes. A class-only search is therefore incomplete.
Use accepted wording
CIPO's Goods and Services Manual contains terms that are pre-approved without requiring further specification.
